Black Walnuts

Black walnuts 🌱

You see them growing all over Ohio, and most of the time, they get a “bad wrap” for making it difficult to cut the grass. However, they are not only nutrient-dense but have medicinal properties!

Black Walnuts have been used to treat fevers, kidney issues, snake bites, syphilis, parasites, toothache, ulcers, and gut issues. To name a few!

This study https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6316014/ Shows black walnut skin has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties along with their nutritional benefits, such as flavonoids, quinones, and polyphenols found in the kernels, which are known for their antineoplastic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiatherogenic and neuroprotective compounds.
