Emotions

Society as a whole is being taught to allow their emotions to dictate their lives. While simultaneously ignoring them all together. How can both be true? Coping in an unhealthy manner. Instead of facing our pain, releasing it, and moving forward. People turn to drugs, alcohol, p0rn, food, work, religion, and meds. (I am sure more can be added to this list.)While work can be a great way to relieve our stress, it can also become an escape. Leaving us still in a vicious cycle of patterns, behaviors, and even illness. Not just mentally but physically.

We can lose our identity in these patterns; every hard situation will break us in ways we don’t see. Life can’t be as good as it’s going because we grow from the challenges of life. Growth won’t happen, by avoiding discomfort.

Do you ever find yourselves angry for no reason? Or emotionally charged over something so small it makes no logical sense? Anger is usually a deflection from grief/ sorrow.

We can't be truly free, living in this constant state. Freedom doesn't start with the laws and liberties of our countries; it begins within.

Great explanation on this topic a good friend showed me a few years ago- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pm-Ia6vI4PA (Dr. Jerry Tennant on Emotions and Health)
